Our in-house team excels in connection design at various stages to ensure timely and effective submissions to DNSP and TNSP, with a track record of proven success.
Providing detailed designs and engineering solutions tailored to each installation’s specific needs. Our turnkey approach ensures maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
Support navigating the regulatory landscape can be complex. We offer expert support to secure all necessary permits and approvals, ensuring compliance with local, regional, and national regulations.
Our construction management services ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards. We oversee every aspect of the construction process, from planning to execution. Our in-house project management experience has delivered multiple large-scale land development projects.
We provide comprehensive operational management and preventative maintenance services to ensure maximum asset generation reliability and fast repairs during critical situations.
We have provided energy solutions to a range of energy retailers, DNSPs (Distribution Network Service Providers), corporate businesses, and local communities. This goodwill facilitates the negotiation of off-take agreements tailored to our projects’ needs.
Small Scale Hybrid Solar + BESS Development
Atlas Renewables specialises in the development, ownership, and operation of solar farm projects, each with a 4.99MW AC capacity + BESS. We aggregate these projects to form a broader portfolio, with sites located across New South Wales and Queensland. These regions are poised for high wholesale pricing and anticipated coal plant closures, promising firm long-term returns on renewable generation assets.
Why 5MW? This capacity is significant due to network participation requirements. The Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) mandates that generators with a Nameplate rating above 5MW (AC) must register as scheduled generators.
In contrast, generators below 5MW are ‘unscheduled,’ meaning once grid connection is secured, the network is obligated to accept all energy generated, ensuring revenue certainty under Chapter 5a of the National Electricity Wiring Rules legislation (PW to check).
Our model also emphasises risk diversification. By strategically selecting our sites across NSW and QLD, we mitigate disruptions from natural disasters, economic factors, and other key risks associated with large-scale, single-site solar farms. This portfolio approach enables us to negotiate Power Purchase Agreements with smaller corporate entities, whose energy demands align more closely with our nameplate capacity than larger utility farms.
Large Scale Utility BESS Development
Atlas Renewables originates and structures energy projects from the identification stage through to construction and operations. While we specialise in sub-5MW solar and BESS sites, our proficiency extends to large grid-scale (100MW+) solar and BESS developments.
Atlas Renewables has secured multiple large-scale BESS sites across New South Wales and Queensland. We source aligned capital partners to progress projects into construction and operations, anticipating future energy needs to future-proof the Australian sector.
